24/7 Emergency Services for Urgent Wildlife Removal Situations

How Coastal Wildlife Can Assist You

INTERVIEWER: Can you tell us about the methods you use for animal removal? Is trapping the only option?

JASON SHEPARD: Trapping and one-way doors, or excluder doors, are the two primary methods we use to remove animals from a structure. For example, when dealing with armadillos on a property, we initially focus on trapping to get the immediate problem under control. Once we’ve removed the culprits, we move to a monthly program using animal deterrents to prevent new armadillos from coming in. Armadillos are abundant, so it’s all about long-term management.

INTERVIEWER: That makes sense! Now, how quickly can your team respond to wildlife or pest emergencies?

JASON SHEPARD: We’re available 24/7, 365 days a year. We take calls any time—whether it’s 2 a.m. because someone has a raccoon in their attic or 8 p.m. on a Saturday due to a snake on their porch. We can typically respond within 30 to 45 minutes, and in more remote areas, it might take up to an hour, but we pride ourselves on being fast and reliable.

INTERVIEWER: That’s impressive! It sounds like your availability gives you an edge over the competition.

JASON SHEPARD: Definitely. Most companies close on weekends or at 5 or 6 p.m., but our phones never shut off. We often get calls from people who initially hired another company but can’t reach them when they really need help. We step in and handle those situations.

INTERVIEWER: For sure. What about animals in hard-to-reach places, like inside walls? How do you approach those situations?

JASON SHEPARD: We use inspection cameras and thermal imaging to locate animals in walls. Once we’ve pinpointed the exact location, we cut a small hole, insert the camera to confirm, and then make a hole just large enough to remove the animal. Afterward, we patch up the drywall so it looks like we were never there. We ensure minimal disruption and complete restoration.

INTERVIEWER: That sounds like a well-thought-out process. What measures do you take to ensure customer safety once you’ve left the site?

JASON SHEPARD: Education plays a big role. While we’re on-site, we explain the potential risks and what to expect after the job is done. We also leave our contact information so that if anything happens or if the customer is unsure about something, they can call us rather than trying to handle it themselves.

INTERVIEWER: How do you handle situations where wildlife or pests return after the initial visit?

JASON SHEPARD: Occasionally, animals might try to find their way back in. We have about a 95-98% success rate in keeping them out for good. But if they do return, we’ll come back, go through the removal process again, and ensure any new access points are sealed off.

INTERVIEWER: That’s a solid approach. Do you offer financing for your services?

JASON SHEPARD: Yes, we do offer financing options, which is a benefit not many companies in our field can provide. We offer up to 24 months with low-interest options, and the approval process is quick and easy. Customers can even start the process through a prequalification button on our website.

INTERVIEWER: That’s a great option! For property managers, how do your bundled services give them an edge in managing their properties?

JASON SHEPARD: Property managers have a lot on their plate. By bundling wildlife and pest control, we make their job easier. They no longer have to call separate companies for different problems. Whether it’s a pest issue or wildlife removal, we handle everything, which simplifies their workload.

INTERVIEWER: That sounds ideal for them. Lastly, how do your customers typically find out about your services?

JASON SHEPARD: Customers find us through our website at www.coastalwildlifeservices.com, or they can call us directly at 904-855-9490. We’re also active on social media, including Facebook and Instagram, under the handle @CoastalWildlifeJax.

INTERVIEWER: Thanks, Jason! It’s been insightful learning more about your services.

JASON SHEPARD: Thank you! It was a pleasure to share what we do.
