Quarterly pest control, rat and mouse removal, rodent proofing and humane wildlife removal for Palm Coast homes, from a licensed, NWCOA-certified local team. Rodent and wildlife inspections are free.
Palm Coast is a planned city. ITT bought the land in 1968, opened the community in 1970 and built neighborhoods around 23 miles of saltwater canals and 46 miles of freshwater canals, with large blocks of conservation land in between: Graham Swamp, Princess Place Preserve, Long Creek Nature Preserve and Washington Oaks Gardens State Park.
That layout is great to live in, and pests like it too. Canals and retention ponds give rats, raccoons and snakes water and cover. Queen palms, sabal palms and fruit trees give roof rats places to nest and food right next to the roofline. And because so many homes were built on wooded lots, many backyards border habitat that was untouched not long ago.
Roaches (including palmetto bugs), ants, spiders and other common pests. We treat the exterior perimeter and the inside as needed.
Pest controlWe trap the rodents inside, seal every entry point and sanitize the attic so they don't come back.
Rodent proofingHumane removal and exclusion for raccoons, squirrels, bats and armadillos.
Wildlife removalWe remove snakes from garages and pool cages and treat around the house to keep them out.
Snake removalSeasonal yard treatments built for Northeast Florida's long, wet mosquito season.
Mosquito controlWe remove contaminated insulation and replace it with TAP pest control insulation.
TAP insulationThe roof rat is the most common rodent problem in Palm Coast homes. It nests in palm trees and dense landscaping, feeds on fruit, seeds and pet food, and climbs onto the roof wherever fronds or limbs touch it. It can fit through a gap about half an inch wide. Once it finds a way into a warm, dry attic, a colony can grow quickly.
Poison bait can kill rats, but it doesn't keep new ones out. Rats that die inside walls or the attic leave an odor that can last for weeks. The fix that lasts is mechanical: seal the house, trap what's inside, and clean up the scent trail.
| Neighborhood | Setting | Common problems |
|---|---|---|
| Palm Harbor (F-Section) and the saltwater canal streets | Canals, docks and seawalls off the Intracoastal | Roof rats, raccoons |
| Grand Haven, Hammock Dunes & the Hammock | Golf courses, preserve land, tile roofs | Roof rats under tile, raccoons, bats |
| Pine Lakes & Matanzas Woods | Freshwater canals, golf course and wooded lots | Rats, snakes, armadillos |
| Belle Terre, Seminole Woods & Cypress Knoll | Wooded lots along freshwater canals | Squirrels, rats, snakes, armadillos |
| Indian Trails, Quail Hollow & Lehigh Woods | Newer homes near retention ponds and preserves | Snakes, armadillos, ants, roaches |
Our protection plans are quarterly service, billed monthly. You can bundle pest control with wildlife protection, and you can switch plans anytime with no penalty as long as you keep an active plan.
On wildlife work, the only things that void our warranty are a roof replacement or an act of God, like a hurricane or fire. Animals getting back in or new noises in the attic are covered.
“Coastal did a great job in taking care of our rodent problem. My house was patched to prevent further entrance. The attic areas were thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. I highly recommend Coastal.”
“I called about having mouse activity and they were out the next day setting traps. And that next morning we caught a mouse. They have also helped stop moles from invading my yard.”
Yes. We have a dedicated Palm Coast phone line, (386) 517-1508, and technicians who service Palm Coast and the rest of Flagler County on regular routes.
All of Palm Coast (ZIP codes 32137 and 32164), including Palm Harbor, Grand Haven, Pine Lakes, Matanzas Woods, Belle Terre, Seminole Woods, Cypress Knoll, Indian Trails, Quail Hollow and Lehigh Woods, plus Flagler Beach, Bunnell, the Hammock and Beverly Beach.
Timing is the best clue. Roof rats are active at night, so you'll hear scratching and running after dark. Squirrels are active during the day, mostly early morning and late afternoon. Rat droppings are small and dark, about half an inch long. A free inspection will confirm it.
Our pest control plans are quarterly service billed monthly. Price depends on the size of your home and what we're treating. Rodent and wildlife jobs start with a free inspection and a written price before any work begins.
Yes. We remove snakes from garages, pool cages and homes, and we offer preventive snake treatments around the outside of the house as part of regular service. Most Florida snakes are harmless, but don't try to handle one yourself.
Not by exclusion. Florida bat maternity season runs April 16 through August 14, and exclusion isn't allowed then because flightless pups would be trapped inside. We can inspect during that window and complete the exclusion once it ends.
No. The only things that void our warranty are a roof replacement or an act of God, such as a hurricane or fire. Everything else stays covered, including animals getting back in and new noises in the attic. After a storm, we can re-inspect the house and quote any new repairs.
