TAP® (Thermal, Acoustical, Pest Control) is a loose-fill cellulose insulation made from 85% recycled paper and treated with borate — a naturally occurring mineral compound that is permanently lethal to many insects.

Yes. Once installation is complete, TAP® insulation is safe for normal occupancy. The borate treatment has very low mammalian toxicity and is locked into the insulation fibers.
